時計の歌が聴こえる / I can hear the clock singing

2008年まで、横浜そごうの地下入口には、世界の民族衣裳を着た人形たちが
「小さな世界」を歌いながら時を知らせるからくり時計がありました。

歌い終わった後、数字の裏側に人形たちが数人ずつ帰っていくのを見るのが好きで、最後の鐘が鳴り終わるまでいつも上を見上げていました。

人形たちがいなくなった今も、大時計を見上げると、あの鐘の音が鳴るような気がします。
